Hi everybody, hope everyone is doing great. To day I am gonna show you how I make pie crust at home, I know there are a lot of recipes out there but this is just what I do and what actually work for me. Please keep in mind if you are using 1 standard pie pan (9 inches), then you gonna need less ingredients than this. In this case, I am making 12 pie crusts, 8 (5″ pans) and 4 (9″ pans).




9 cups all purpose flour

2 sticks unsalted butter (cut into cubes)

2 tbsp salt

2 1/2 tbsp sugar

1 cup of milk

6 tbsp ice water




Mix flour, salt and sugar together, you can use  food processor if you have one, if not hands can do the job, then add ice water (make sure  there is no ice cube, just the water), next add  the butter, mix them and slightly pour milk until the dough comes together.

To form the pie shell, roll the dough on a floured surface, using rolling pin and I am using 5″ pie pan to measure, that way I know exactly that it will fit perfectly inside the pan, remove unwanted crust, and leave it for about an inch. Next fit gently into bottom and side of pan, repeat the process for the top pie crust.

After you insert the pie crust in to the pan, add the filling, cover the top, then flute edges using thumb and forefinger or press with a fork, make small incision in the middle part, bake it and you are done.
